Frequently Asked Questions

There are several factors that can affect the delivery timeframe of your mailing, including class of mail (first class pre-sort vs. standard pre-sort), destination, and the Postal Service designated peak periods.

Choosing the "right" postage for your mailing campaign can be somewhat bewildering if you aren't prepared for the cost and delivery implications. Outside of overnight courier priority mailing, First Class Pre-sort is the Postal Service's fastest and more costly approach to mailing, generally reaching its destinations within 1 to 2 business days. Standard Pre-sort mailings typically take 2 to 3 business days to reach its destinations nationwide. Although standard mail may have a longer delivery timeframe, there are some financial advantages to standard mail, offering a postage discount to account for the longer delivery timeframes.

We will accommodate our production schedule to meet your project deadlines. Generally we request 1 to 2 business days to complete a project, depending on scope of work. Our team of professionals will work with you to meet your mailing timeframes.

On-demand printing utilizes an "electronic master" file which can be provided in a digital format or simply scanned from a physical copy. At the client's request, this master file is used to generate a given quantity of printed materials in a very short period of time. This is good for short, digital runs and not larger and more complex offset lithography. With on-demand printing, you print only what you need as you need it, rather than printing a large quantity and storing the inventory until it is needed.

Variable data printing is a form of on-demand printing that allows you to customize and personalize your direct mail pieces for potentially increased response rates. With variable data printing, the basic layout is the same but you can insert different names and addresses, graphics, messages, and other customizable elements into the layout to create unique targeted mailers in one print run.

Envelopes come in a wide array of sizes and shapes. You can find in-stock envelopes to serve almost any business function, or you can have your envelopes made to just about any specification. Each style can be used for different purposes, but it is important to know if machine automation is part of the mailing job. This will dictate the exact construction of the envelope to be ordered or converted to fit the job. Sligo Print & Mailing project managers are happy to consult on which envelopes meet machine requirements.

We are ready to set up your fulfilment needs immediately, depending upon the size of the job and what is needed.

We accept orders via Web, phone, fax or mail.
